In April and May 2021, villagers were invited to plant giant sunflowers in our front gardens, around the preacher’s cross, on the approach roads into the village, in the churchyard, in front of the village hall and anywhere else that we could think of! By August, Cotterstock was ablaze with sunny colour! The intention was to help bring cheer and more joy to all who live and passed through, a sense of coaxing us out of Coronatimes isolation and to bring a smile to everyone’s face in late summer.

These seeds were very kindly donated to ensure Cotterstock had a bright and sunny 2021.
